Fear

The ride so far had gone quite well to all expectations, The sun was out, the horses were enjoying themselves and the all three riders from Cobweb Farm were having a great time.

"Hey Jason! Can you still feel your fingers?" Jason turned in his saddle to make a face at Sarah a little annoyed that his two work mates had yet to stop picking on him for deciding to wear both gloves and a scarf. "Bah.. Give it up already.. Least I wont end up with frostbite... Don't expect me to be sympathetic if you do!" His response was only met with more laughter and he grumbled under his breath turning his focus back to the road ahead as they moved from the dirt track out onto a asphalt road.

Torie stretched in her saddle leaning forwards slightly to pat the neck of her mare as they set out along the new road. Star still seemed to be a bit on edge but so far had done little more then the odd head toss and done her best to avoid the thicker patches of snow. The red haired woman straightened up turning slightly to speak to Sarah behind her when she suddenly felt the Arabian beneath her tense. Two large birds had suddenly burst out from beneath the roadside scrub and flown out in front of the mare. Clearly quite spooked by the sudden appearance the silver bay reared up catching Torie by surprise. " Woah! Easy girl!" Torie flung herself forwards doing her best not to unbalance the mare who was now struggling to find foothold on the icy surface of the road. In what seemed to be a horrifying slow motion she slipped and came crashing down to the ground throwing Torie in the process.
